Manufacturer Product Upload Packs

One-time, per-manufacturer catalog onboarding, sized to the actual complexity of each brand you carry.

Your tier runs your website day-to-day. Manufacturer Product Packs handle the one-time work of building each manufacturer's catalog into that system: structured product pages, variant logic, specifications, imagery, and SEO framework for every model you carry. You pay for the brands you actually carry, nothing bundled, nothing hidden.

On Pro, your first 3 Packs (Small, Mid-Size, or Large) are included in tier setup; additional and Advanced Packs are priced separately. On Charter, every Pack of every tier is included in the partnership.

Small $1,000 Mid-Size $2,250 Large $4,250 Advanced from $6,500
What's Built

Why This Costs What It Does

Catalog onboarding looks simple once finished. A completed product page looks like it was copied from the manufacturer's site in five minutes. The work underneath is what the pack covers. Each product receives:

Product record creation with complete data integrity
Variant configuration: size, lock type, color, interior modeled as proper Shopify variants
Specification structuring into metafields that power filters, comparisons, and search
Manufacturer imagery attached at product AND variant level
SEO framework: page title, meta description, alt text, structured data
Taxonomy alignment with your existing catalog + QA against manufacturer source

Plus catalog-wide work: every pack includes taxonomy reconciliation, variant structure decisions, template consistency, collection setup, and navigation integration. Multiply the per-product work by the number of products in the catalog. That's what a pack covers.

Pack Options

How Packs Are Sized

Pack tiers are based on catalog size, SKU count, variant complexity, and option structure. Here's where current manufacturers typically fall, use these examples to estimate where your brands will land.

Small Pack

$1,000

Limited lines, under 25 SKUs, 1 to 2 options per product.

Examples

American Rebel, Stealth

Mid-Size Pack

$2,250

Multiple lines, 40 to 75 SKUs, 2 to 3 options per product.

Examples

Champion, ISM, Vaultek

Large Pack

$4,250

Deep lineups, 80 to 150 products, 3 options with possible conditional logic.

Examples

Liberty, Browning, Rhino, Fort Knox (core)

Advanced / Custom

from $6,500

150+ SKUs, 4+ options requiring configurator. Scoped individually, you see the exact number before committing.

Examples

AMSEC full catalog, Fort Knox w/ configurator

How many product lines does this brand offer?

Pricing Justification

What This Actually Costs

Two ways to look at pack pricing: cost per product page delivered, and what the same work costs if you hire it out or do it yourself.

Per product page delivered
Small
$40–100
per PDP
Mid-Size
$30–55
per PDP
Large
$28–55
per PDP
Advanced
$30–60
per PDP

Larger packs deliver more value per dollar, the per-page cost decreases as the catalog scales. $30 to $70 per fully built Shopify product page, with variants, metafields, imagery, SEO, and taxonomy, is below market rate for that scope.

If you did this yourself

A typical Large-tier catalog (~100 products) requires 100 to 170 hours to build properly across variant modeling, metafield configuration, imagery, SEO, and QA. At market rates:

Freelance ($75/hr)
$7,500–12,750
Agency ($125/hr+)
$12,500–21,250+
Same catalog via TSG
$4,250

For dealers doing this themselves, the real cost is opportunity, 100+ hours not running your business. For most independent dealers, that's the more expensive choice regardless of hourly rate.

Configurator Threshold

Products With 4+ Options Require SafeBuilder

If a product carries more than three customer-selectable options, it requires the SafeBuilder configurator in addition to the Manufacturer Pack. This isn't a TSG policy. Shopify has a hard three-option limit, and beyond that the combinatorial math stops working. Four options with five values each produces 625 variant combinations; five options produces 3,125. That cannot be maintained as flat Shopify variants.

Configurator-required catalogs (like AMSEC's full catalog or Fort Knox with full configurator) almost always land in Large or Advanced tier. The Manufacturer Pack covers the catalog work; SafeBuilder handles the configurator layer on top.

Optional Extensions

Products Outside the Core Catalog

Core packs cover full-size safes. Other product types can be added through secondary packs when you're ready, so your main catalog stays clean and you only pay for adjacent lines you actually stock.

Manufacturer Accessory Pack

$600

Up to 50 accessory SKUs (+$100 per additional 50): dehumidifiers, door organizers, interior parts, and similar accessories.

Secondary Safe Products

$300 up to 20 SKUs   $500 over 20

Handgun vaults, compact safes, pistol safes, gun cabinets.

Before You Commit

Know the Cost Before Work Begins

Before onboarding begins, every manufacturer goes through a short evaluation. It's free and non-binding. Request an assessment for any manufacturer and you'll know exactly what the pack will cost before you commit to anything.

What Packs Don't Cover

Packs are one-time catalog onboarding. They don't include:

Ongoing catalog updates

Handled via tier-level maintenance.

Configurator setup

Separate SafeBuilder add-on for 4+ option products.

Custom content or photography

Packs use manufacturer-approved content.

Promotional setup

Handled by Promotion Engine.

SEO content strategy

Handled by Search Authority Engine (included in Pro and Charter).

Narrow on purpose

Keeping scope narrow is how each add-on does one thing well and pricing stays honest.

What Changes

What Happens When Your Catalog Is Onboarded Correctly

What starts happening

Clean, customer-ready product catalog from day one

Customers compare models clearly because specs are structured

Filters and search actually work because metafields power them

New brands add cleanly without disrupting what's already live

What stops happening

Customers getting confused by inconsistent product information

Sales conversations starting with "our website doesn't show that correctly"

Weekends spent manually updating catalog data
